Beads that make harvesting simple

A key innovation behind WYAlgae is CAPSOIL, our technology for growing the algae in a hydrogel matrix. The beads are made from biodegradable materials. They simplify algal harvesting and increase algal biomass per unit of time.

2x the biomass of the current state-of-the-art algaculture techniques.

CAPSOIL is covered under US Provisional Patent 63/548,723 and is patent pending. It also simplifies application of the algae, and WYAlgae can be dried and still keep its viability.

Why dry-stable matters

WYAlgae persists in soils for at least three years. Because it tolerates desiccation, it ships and applies more simply than Chlorella vulgaris based treatments.
